Considering a Suburban Tow Rig

I put a deposit on a truck yesterday.

Part of me got sick of looking at rusty things.

Also, there was some real decent pricing on these after the announcement of the new 17s. The truck was cheaper than I expected.

It's a work truck. The only option is a 7 inch screen which is really slick. It's got dual bench seats. My dog would've preferred vinyl, but that wasn't a choice. The truck also has a real 4x4 shifter which I like a lot. I also can drive to deulings on one fill up with the dual tanks. I think it holds 63.5 gallons.

I'm shopping flatbeds right now. Any input on that would be much appreciated.

Nice

It's a chassis cab. The frame rails are a standard 8 feet.

I guess you abandoned the "I'm not sure I want to spend $20k" thought?

I didn't want to spend more than $20k on something used. With the current depriciation of diesel trucks, in 10 years, hopefully it will be worth 20-25k and I will have spent around $20k on it. If the jetto blaster last awhile and I can keep my miles low.

I'm sure most of you are curious as to what it cost. I will be at $41600 out the door. The sticker price was $51,900. It really won't be a big shift from my beetle payments. I do realize I'll have a bit more into the truck than that after the flatbed goes on.

A camper is definitely in the cards, but not for awhile. I'm lucky I have a boat yard to park this thing at.

because dually's rock!
so tow rig for the blazer right? you can still camp in the blazer right?
I'm going the slide in route for my CC dually so I can make one trip! Wade has it right!

I love the idea of a slide in, but the cost of those things are absurd.
