My 96 tahoe decided that it wanted to be in 4 hi while I was cruising down the highway yesterday (the switch shorted out). The front u-joints were about gone so this sudden action threw the shaft off into the case and broke the electric motor/shifter gearbox in half.

So who knows what shifter linkage will work to convert it? I looked at several today at the junk yard and they all had a smaller output for the shifter at the case, and they all had threaded ends to hold a linkage on, similar to what is on my blazers 208, and the 203 that came out of it. So does anyone make a kit for this or does anyone know what parts I should be looking for? Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

If your tranny is a 4l60E (electronic 700r4)...........you might be able to swap out your present T-case............and put the lever operated Np241 in it. The Np241 was GM's manual lever operated T-case used from 1988 (in IFS trucks 88-98 & 99/2000 C/K classic). GM also used it in 89-91 solid axle blazers & suburbans. But you would need the driverside drop version....so look for 88-2000 driverside output version.
