Info on the plant in fremont.
My K5 decal sheet shows it being made in Fremont, CA. This makes sence since it has always been in the west and was made before 82

Wow, before my time. But that NUMI plant (toyota/GM venture) is still active, drive by it every day on my way home from work.
I wonder how many were made at the Fremont plant vs. Flint.
Ive had gm vehicles built in Fremont, Van Nuys, and other places. My truck was built in Fremont as well. Makes since, its only 20 miles away. My old 79 was built in at the Oshawa plant (PA vehicle).

Yep, thats what im saying. Its got to be teh same plant.
As with the Ford mustangs it would be really cool to get build sheets that would show the number of K5s built with the options/ color combos/ factory locations for the k5s we have. Mine has the cold climate package. Not sure how many of those were built with that option.

very cool old school pictures there, looks like its time for a new background for the laptop. Both of the chevies I have owned are from Flint. My 91 v1500 blazer was from Flint, and my 85 cucv pickup was from flint, and even the cab that I swapped onto the cucv was made in Flint.
