Coolant leak

even if it was head gaskets why wouldn't the excess pressure go out the rad cap if it was working correctly? :dunno:
till you figure it out lower the level so the added air volume can compress instead of something else having to give.

well, the pressure tester would verify it and is always a useful tool... you can lead a..........

I feel that it is the nipples needing re-soldering

NO WAY!!

Trust me. You only want to have your nipples soldered once! It will last you a lifetime.
And I am never going back to that girl's house!!

As mentioned before, it is not the rad nipples. It also leaks where the hoses clamp onto the thermostat housing, and the water pump. At this point I am 90% certain it is head gaskets

Well, if the hoses are leaking from both ends, a condition I have had before, then its pressure, bad hoses, or bad clamps.
Did you replace both hoses at the same time as the radiator? Maybe a bad brand that has too hard a composition to seal properly.

Otherwise, try running it with the cap either off or at the first click instead of sealed all the way down.
If its head gaskets that bad, you should see a lot of coolant gushing out.

Oh, one other thought, are we sure that you have both the right pressure cap, and that it is working right?

Like someone else said, the cap should release the pressure before the hoses start leaking.

lol. I am definately going to rent or buy a pressure tester when I get back to town. I too have wondered why the rad cap wouldn't simply vent the excess pressure, but I have tried 2 different ones and had the same result. I noticed after I shut the truck off this afternoon that there were air bubbles comming out of the line in the overflow tank.
