I THOUGHT I was having cooling issues with my 429 Bronco. Kinda weird, considering it did BB07, with no problems.
I spent 2 hours flushing the entire system out, new 180 t stat, and exact 50/50 mix. My temp gauge still showed 195. I had a friend check it with his infra red gun. The gun shows 180, or lower, at the sending unit location. I then used a meat thermo in the radiator. It showed 180, on the money. Damn cheap NAPA gauge!!!!
