what is the cost of your wheeling trip it is getting pricey for me what is your cost ???

the park $35
diesel $70
tolls $10
camp food $30

and add some mis fire start logs and other junk

it is like a $150.00 for 1 day and 1 night

and forget the busted parts

what is it costing you ?? and i am only looking for leagle stuff

park $35 although I think I am going to get the $100 pass, then its only $20 a visit.

fuel for tow rig and trail truck $70-80. that's at the current $2.75 a gallon.

food $20 for a day trip $50 for an overnight trip since it includes beer, lot of it.:D

When gas was under $2.00 a gallon and I drove to the parks I went at least every month. When I first got my truck there were a lot of public places to wheel that didn't cost anything to get into because I was in a club. Gas was $1.25 a gallon and I didn't have any bills. All those places are closed now.:( gas is more then twice what it used to be and I have to tow the rig there.

Guess I'm lucky to have some decent trails not more than 2-3 miles just up the road :o

Fuel hasn't been a big thing with me.. Don't think I've ever even used half a tank on a day trip. My issue has been time, and needing to get things FIXED before hitting the trail.

Last day trip:

Gas: $100= 400 miles at 11 mpg (including offroad miles) $2.75/gallon
Food: about $10
Park: $20

so, $130 for a day-trip. yeah, there's a reason i don't go as often as i'd like. but, my engine only had about 700 miles on it at the time. now that i have it tuned better and it's more broken in, i might get better mpg. i'll have to do math (bummer) to be sure, since i put bigger tires on there since then and didn't bother to regear the speedo. should be about 6% better then what the odo actually reads.

my friend was trying to convince me to got to moab with a bunch of jeep guys. i'd love to go (not with jeep guys), but it would cost me an absolute fortune in gas alone. Fort Worth, Texas is a long way from moab.

if you really want to go insane:screwy:, figure in fluid life, mechanical wear from bumper to bumper, paint damage (even if it's just from dust), and tire wear. maybe that's a bad idea.

It really depends on where I go.

Constrictor---$30 for diesel, $20 for food and gas.

Moab--------$80 for diesel both way's, $50 for food and gas, a bottle of Crown to stay at my friends house.

Its not too bad.

I could have taken the time off and the truck was ready for a trip to Tellico, it was the $400-500 in gas I couldn't justify for a 2 day weekend.:(

Moab would cost me $1200-1300 in fuel alone and 32+ hours of drive time one way.:eek1:

i even forgot the gas for the rig that is like $30
that is like $180 this is now geting closer to what i spent on the last trips and let me say it is getting expencive that is why i started this i wanted to see if others are in the same boat

and the truck repare on my last trip a good guy lost a knuckle and the other a bad roll (no names to protect the people) but that cost $100 just to get runing and $500 to upgrade - i would do the same and the cost of the roll what $1000 for the loss of rim roof and add tube to give strenth the rig

this is just getting costly i just spent big bucks in a complete cage (a lot$$)

just think i used to race mud bogg every weekend in a points series for about a year and a half...

everyweekend breakdown-
40 to race
10 to enter
60 for fuel in the tow rig
20 to 25 for 109 for the truck
food,drinks,ect 20 bucks

+
i was running the 44 class w/38s so add another 40=
190 to 200 everyweekend....see why i quit running mud bogg now...

The look on my face..........Priceless!!!:D

It cost me $100 to $150 for a day trip and $150 to $200 for a two day trip (More beer) A trip to Tellico costs $350 to $450 for two days (Or one really long day!!)
Is it money well spent? Yes, you can't put a price tag on the fun I've had and all the good people I've meet and now call friends.

i i have a lot of fur but i wish i could get it to like 100 or so i think my cost is close to 200

i will try to save for the Tellico run soon -- and find a new job too :)

Last trip cost me about

Fuel for tow rig- $65-$70
Fuel for Blazer- $30-$35
Food- $35 (ate at the park and a truck stop in route to the house)
Park fees- $35 for 2 adults and three children (owner cut me a brake on my oldest. charged as child instead of full price and let youngest in for free)

This was for a 1 day wheeling trip.

Average day trip around here is anywhere from 50 to 100 depending on the distance.

I figure the Moab trip will run:

200.00 for lodging - 4 nights
80.00 for food - figuring 20 per day
400.00 in fuel

If something breaks there's no telling where that figure will go. :doah:
