Could you identify these axles please.

ah hell i was hoping that front would have been a least a 44 so i could do a little beefing up on it. i will go pick up that 14 bolt this week. Het do you or anyone know how to tell the gear rati on on them

First determine what type of diff you have. Open, locker, limited slip etc. Turn the pinion, if both side rotate in the same direction (forward or reverse) you have some type of locking diff. If one side rotates forward, and the other reverse, you have an open, or a bad limited slip, or locking mechanism. This could be explored more simply by opening the diff cover.
If one sided (open differential), block one axleshaft from turning, then rotate the other side axleshaft until it rotates one revolution, while counting the # of revolutions on the pinion yoke. If its a locker or posi/ limited slip, rotate one side, with the other freely turning (in the same direction) and count the pinion revolutions. This should give a close enough number to match up with 3.42, 3.73, 4.10, or 4.56 gear ratio's.

Good luck.

When you are pulling those axles, just cut off the u-bolts. You dont want to use those rusty old things. So bring a hacksaw or better yet a cordless sawzall. Once you've cut through about half of it you can put a socket on it and when you turn it, it will snap the u-bolt. Also the pick n pulls by me have a core charge as well. I only get axles on 1/2 off days and I can then get 14bff axles for $89

when we were spinning the tires i had my buddy hold one wheels and i spun the other. does this mean it is an open diff?

Most likely, although it could also be the gov-lock that won't lock in without sufficient wheel spin. The only way to know for sure is when you get it, pull the diff cover and change the oil, then you will know for sure.
