cowl induction hood question

I agree even on a mall criuser you can fit alot off motor under the stock . the blazer in my above post has 3" body lift and a 6" cowl hood and has this motor

a cowl induction hood is more for driving a higher speeds.
the wind swirls and get sucked in to the motor.
kinda like a ram air, but it can also let heat out of the motor.
SO its all up to if you want to spend the money.
I would go with a good steel hood.

Yeah I also have a 3in body lift. I put on a taller air filter, manifold, and 2in carb spacer. I still have plenty of room under the stock hood. A cowl hood would be more of a look thing, plus I daily drive my truck so it sees higher speeds on a regular basis and the wheeling that I do isn't too extreme, but it usually involves a wall of water coming over the windshield :D. The underside of my hood is starting to see the typical New England cancer too.

Cowl hoods are just cool especially when you have your engine #'s displayed on the side of the cowl.
