Cracked T-case ????

Okay I know it sounds bad BUT...my NP241 has a hairline crack in it at the top of the rear case half, by the rear pump housing. It only leaks when I put it 4-WD. Other than replacing it what do you think to fix it. Everyone around hear says JB Weld it. The crack is about 2 inches long and smooth with no holes.

I'd agree. Just try JB Weld, and if it doesn't work you can go from there.

Another vote for the JB weld. And keep a close eye on it.

Not familiar with a 241, but if the rear case 1/2 supports any bearings and shaft, I would replace it. Then keep the JB welded case as a spare.

What's the worst that can happen. JB weld it and see if it leaks, If it does, replace it. If not, keep an eye on it and then you'll have a little time to look for a replacement.
