Craigslist truck ads - Trucks added

Apparently CO has gone stipid too...

Just ran a quick cragslist check of K5's, most were wanting 5-7k for a rusty stocker...

Crazy people out wanting almost 10k too.

That's the internet/social media/cable TV Society we live in now.

I was going to buy a new (used) to me lawn mower tomorrow. Had it all set up and the guy calls me last night and tells me that the price is now 250 smackers higher because he saw another listing for a like mower for 600 more then his asking price.
I told that that was Their asking price and neither one of us would know what that guy would actually sell it for. I continued by saying it was money in your pocket on Saturday morning and you just fu©ked yourself because I won't deal with getting jacked around. Fu©k off.
LOL..

I think that's a pretty good example of what the internet does to people.

I had a 1956 3200 series Chevy pickup much like that one when I was about 18--it was black,I painted it with Rustoleum with a brush, and painted the bumpers and grille bright yellow, everyone called it "The Bumble Bee" ...
I wish I had kept it now, back then I was clueless as far as it being possible to convert it to a 4x4 or drop the cab and body on a later chassis with P/S and brakes...thing was pretty solid for a truck that spent all its life around here too..
I liked the 235 straight six and three speed,I think it had 4:56 gears so 60 mph was about redline as far as highway driving ..thing pulled like an ox up hills, and nothing I loaded in it would bog it down or make it squat...frame was like 3/8" thick too...

I traded 2 VW's I had for it--a '63 factory camper Bus (now worth a fortune! :doah:),and a '63 VW Beetle,that was my first car..

I will probably see that dually in a local junkyard shortly. I can find trucks in better shape that this one at the yards. Lately, not as many as 6 years ago, but I can still find them. $10k find at the yard lol

The tapout dude is actually a car guy.
Car guy with alot of money... But nonetheless.

I consider the 1955-59 Suburbans and Panel Trucks and the 1960-66 ones the two best looking body styles they ever built-the '55-57's I like a tad better that the 4 headlamp '58-59 versions...

There was a sweet 4x4 Suburban for sale a while back not far from my house,I saved the pictures off the Craigslist ad..I think it was plopped on a newer frame and had a tailgate (boo--barn doors rule IMO!)..(EDIT!--it did have barn doors!)..
but it was a very nice truck and one you rarely see any more around here..it was listed for $12K and they probably got it too..66 suburban 4x4 in halifax MA for sale.jpg 66 suburban 4x4.jpg

Check this out... $1500 for a 1950 Dodge

Flathead v6,2 speed rear 73,000 miles, brakes need work runs and drives great barely and rust ,solid truck

Were I a wealthy man with storage, I'd hop right on it. I passed on a 1946 military Power Wagon 6x6 a few months ago, and it got me into these cabs. I think it would be pretty cool to get it, do some functionality and interior modernization, and make it a daily driver.
