Why is this? 5.13 is only 5% deeper than 4.88. 4.88 is 39/8 teeth and 5.13 is 41/8 teeth. Without seeing them side by side I would expect pinion strength to be similar.

side by side, the 5.13's look a hell of alot weaker...let me find a picture. i mis stated in my other post...i had 4.56's and 5.13's. side by side, there's a pretty big difference
