I'm fairly certain that I am going to buy this from my dads friend.

130k miles, 454, and I assume th400/np205. I'll drop the pan and replace the timing chain and the oil pump. The dana 60 and 14 bolt have 4.56 gears.

The plans are to use to pull a gooseneck trailer at around 12k with my truck on it. I think there is some rust but nothing bad. I have two sets of extra door for it anyways and almost all the interior panels in blue that in nearly perfect condition.

It's white with a utility bed, I think I'm going to make a custom flatbed or put a stock bed on. I would like it to be a short bed, long beds are a little long.

I made this thread a bit prematurely because I wanted somewhere to collect pics

I have a few options, I'm not sure if I want to convert it to SRW.

oh my.......... that thing happen to be for sale?

THAT is how you build a crew cab short bed.:pimp:

Im pretty sure that second to last pic is a dodge.

Checked it out today and it is a POS, way worse than I thought originally.

I may see if I can get it for 1k and just part it out. The cab and doors are garbage, as is the bed.

we need pics of the said truck. if the roof of the truck is good, thats all you need. cut the rockers out, install youre fav. steel. install a flatbed. aftermarket doors are cheap.
really, i just want to see some pics of the carnage.

or fly out here and drive that one home thats here in oregon for $1500

I`ll be watching this like a fly on sh*t. I would love to build a 3+3 short bed. SWEET PICS!

what's with all the 18's and 20's? yo, blingity bling.... sheep meet bandwagon...

that sh*t looks ghey...... something to be said for sidewall...

bahaha. Get 'em Ryoken.
I have to agree though. 16.5 is more than big enough. I think you should stick to 15's until you pass 37" just my .02

I'm staying tuned in on this one. Make it badass for us!

The ****tiest part is that tire companies are starting to tell us normal sized wheel guys to go **** ourselves. I couldnt even find some decent summer performance tires in 235/60r15 and 275/60r15 for the ****ing 442...

We'll my dads friend said he would take 1500

For 1500 I should easily be able to get my money back out.

I'll find a new cab before I ever cut out rockers. It's not just the rockers though, it ,looks like the middle of the cab is rusting also along with the fire wall.

I have 2 sets of nice doors of burbans already so they aren't a problem.

Load range E tires, basically makes you step to at least a 17

Do you guys think I should buy it for $1500?

No Sh!t Paul, I'm just not into the big wheels/short sidewall look. I tried 17's on my Vette, and thought it looked ghetto, I went with 16's.

I think I may get it this weekend we will see

It will probably sit until I finish the back cut on my suburban

Then I'll shorten the frame and make my tube bed. While looking for a new crew cab shell.

Any ideas for color? I'm thinking silver or a light color, I don't want another dark truck to worry about keeping clean. I kinda like red too, oh well I've got plenty of time to make up my mind.

Maybe desert tan if I decide to go that route on my suburban.

I'd say 1500 sounds like a pretty smoking deal to me if it's in reasonable shape...

got a trailer lined up?

No trailer lined up yet, but It will be awhile to get to that point of needing one, Everything from the frame up needs to be replaced. I have a few that I can borrow though. The trailer is the easy part :D

I'm thinking a 25' will be good, my friend has a 35' I could try too first.

Edit: more bed

I like peweter, thats the color of my o2 dmax, it never looks to dirty, unless it`s real bad. 1500 sounds good to me if its in ok shape.
