Crew cab.... dedicated mud truck???? 42's?

are you going to need the bed of a truck? i really like the UA trucks but its not functional for a tow rig it seems.

of course i know your gonna modify it to your needs im just trying to picture something

I like peweter, thats the color of my o2 dmax, it never looks to dirty, unless it`s real bad. 1500 sounds good to me if its in ok shape.

Yeah my friend has a dmax thats pewter that is always dirty and covered in cow poop, but it always looks somewhat clean.

The pewter seems like it might be too modern of a color for a square body though.

I kind of like them the best, Mine will be a little different, I'll probably make it the length of a shortbed. It be pretty functional. I'll be able to have somewhat of a bed and a toolbox, but the sides should still be lower than a stock bed.

I'll do a paint cad drawing

im actually picking up a crew cab this weekend 90 454 with 90,000 for 3100 gona see if i can talk him down a little bit but either way should be driving it home saturday. planning on short box and hopefully in the future a 12v cummins.

i like the silver on that short box with the planes and stuff in the backround you posted earlier. it looks good on a square body without emblems and trim.
keep an eye out for a 2wd crew cab for a cab swap. they's be cheap and normally have a 454 you can sell to recoup some money.

your plan is pretty close to what i WAS goin to do to mine, so i likey!

$1500- meh.. not bad. the d60 is worth at least half that if you change youre mind later and part it.

I think paint like this but with silver on the bottom would look nice

Heres a flat bed, kinda ugly but its around the height I want the sides

I'm kinda having second thoughts on the flat bed though

I think red on top would be better though

i would ditch the flatbed and go with a short bed. but thats just what i think looks best

I can always go to a bed, I figured I'd try a tube bed first though

Short bed is too easy :haha:

have you posted a pic of the one you are looking at yer howdiy?

personally i prefer the stock wheel base to shortened on these cc. if i was building a flatbed/tubebed i would try to incorportate the ability to use a poptop slide in, a gooseneck htch and side boxes.

No, no pic of it yet. I should be buying it this weekend if I stay in town :thumb:

The longbed truck just seems too long, the shortbed seems like a more practical length.

I've got the pop up camper problem solved too

I think I'll do these wheels, they are cheap too
