I thought you were the one who bought the rust free crewcab from me? Or was that Stomper? eh... I forget all the crap I've sold over the years.

Front are super lift super rides, 6".

Rear is a custom flip, factory springs for a total of just over 6.5" with all components figured in.

Did that cab end up getting used in this build then (I kinda skipped over a few pages in the middle and might have missed that part)?

Nope, i can only wish. This one was really rusty in the rocker panel area.

Nope, it should start going under the knife this winter. Getting a new shop set up and then things should start falling together.

A little more progress,

Tranny coolers are in the front bumper center section and plumbed in.

A idiot light temp sending unit was swapped out for a gauge sending unit. Maybe more of a repair then progress but worth the mention since its buried under the AC compressor. Temp comes up to 210 and stops.

Got some temporary exhaust on they may just end up being permanent. Sounds really throaty with a deep rumble. Basically just trying to get it legal so I can start getting some miles on it and working out the bugs, but it sounds so good! Drivers side goes up and over a crossmember and straight back. Passenger side goes up and over a crossmember and quickly crosses over to the drivers side, goes back along the transfer case where the two pipes "H" together and then goes back across to the passenger side. Both dump into really long glass packs. Glass packs would be the temporary part. NO Mikey, you can't have my Super trapps.

Got the box bolted down.

Need to get the fuel tank installed. Anybody know what color wire I'm looking for, for the sending unit? 1985 C20 diesel.....

Have a peculiar noise eminating from the transfer case. Sounds like a gear meshing issue. Only detectable when you get out of the throttle so that will have to be investigated.

On a side note, it has no trouble burnin' the duals for 30 plus feet.:haha:

EDIT, forgot to mention, Approx. 30 MPH the death wobble goes on the attack!

:haha: Damn, they don't make that style anymore.

Did the other mechanical noise go away when the exhaust got capped off?

Wheels roll pretty straight?

Oh yeah, video or you're gonna have to prove it next weekend. :p:

Wheels rolled out pretty good. Tires a bit overinflated.

Yep, the other noise, all i can say is maybe an exhaust echo from the open headers or something. As soon as I started putting pipe on it, it vanished.

Hopefully by next weekend, I'm driving it everyday.

Thats awesome Kert, good progress on it for sure, Keep it up.

I finally got around to installing the passenger seat and some seat belts.

Got an eronneous oil pressure reading to run down. I think I'll be mounting a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the firewall for external monitoring purposes and verifying what the electric gauge in the dash is reading.

Once that is handled I can finish up some dash stuff and dial the interior in a bit more.

Console storage compartment is done. Mag lite holder mounted to the console and the body mount bushings have been replaced.
