Crew cab. Use it or lose it.

Thanks guys!

I sure am happy with the way its coming together. Spent a few minutes tonight and put the rear views on it so I can back it in and out of the shop.

Needle and seat may have picked up some debris or something. It floods itself out in a heartbeat. It has always had a filter so not real sure how the trash got by.... Who knows. Only other thing I can think of is fuel pressure but it never tops 6 psi.

I'll post up some pics this weekend if we can get some reassembly time in.

what carb are you running??? those damn edelbrocks will flood at 6-PSI sometimes less

A bunch of crap might have gotten in there from all of the fuel tank shenanigans as well.

well its been sitting awhile too gas could have turned to varnish and gummed everything up

It did sit for a while. Not sure how long it takes fuel to turn to varnish. All the fuel in it currently is fresh again. Too little too late I guess.

My first impression of the problem is debris. It'll have to come off and be cleaned out and inspected.

Shouldn't have varnished in that time frame. Was more thinking of just the swapping tanks and such in general.

Also have had filter elements blow out and send crap downstream.

I'll have to look into the filter housing. I bought a service kit when I got the filter so no reason not too.

Ah, well if this is the last time the fuel system is going to be messed with I would be tempted to swap out the element just because.

How small of stuff will it filter? Can you inspect the element and reinstall if it's alright?

I dont' recall the micron count off the top. Suppose its possible to inspect and reinstall but I'll probably just replace. Less to worry about.

Some progress was made yesterday. If you guys bother Kert enough for pictures he might have some. :haha:

I didn't break out the camera until fairly late. Little too dark for photos.

My brother was snapping some along the way so when he gets home (5 hour drive) he'll email them to me and I'll post them up.

Sorry about the size. Got a laptop for father's day and haven't figured out how to resize photos.

This picture was taken as we were deciding whether or not a sagging spring was making the box look crooked.

Time for a set of new springs perhaps.

It's damn near drivable. Last thing we did was put the front bumper on. Of course the dually fenders need to go on and have to get some plumbing for the air bags together. Still need to tear into the carb and find out what's going on in there. Pretty much the stage where just about every little thing needs to be buttoned up.
