Those things are maintenance nightmare! Ours in the Marine Corps never ran or worked.

I believe the USMC gave them up a decade or so ago and replaced them with regular backhoes. The Army had some at the Texarkana depot when I was there in 2011.
Want a scary ride? Get going at any decent speed over about 20 and hit some repeated bumps in the road. Thing would start teeter tottering forward and back. All my HE buddies hated them.

It'll have a Trac Lock limited slip. It's adequate with small to moderate size tires but far from a locker.

Good call, my wife has had to tell me three times that I can't get this and swap all the new parts from the Suburban onto it.
