Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

The axles are light duty 14 bolt and a 10 bolt front so I bet the frame was screwed.

you can get 5-6 lug hubs for dana 60 and 14ff axles now.

but thats a pile of sh!T truck everything thay had in stock tossed on it. even cant use the correct inst cluster clear plastic non odometer speedo used with trip reset style cover on it.

looks mabye 1/2 way decent.

but its got a 10 bolt 1/2 ton front axle and a newer 88-up body style 9.5" 14 semi float rear axle under the truck.

the only 2 things going for it is if thats truly a build bbc done out to 468. possible 396 or 402 who knows till you run the #'s . and its a crew cab.

someone is gone be super p!ssed when thay get there to pick it up or find out later its not 1 ton axles.

went back and looked again. tired are dry rottin in the middle of the treads from sittin so long looks like.

and rear of frame is fu*ked up. half cut off bottom lip just past the crossmember. no way to correctly mount a trailer hitch.

and i dont see a clear frame splice in the front half. i wounder if its even done safly or what.

haha, it's kinda cool but I remember when the kid was over on pirate and they ripped him a new A-hole for the lift and the 4.10's... It was pretty comical..

yeah but for $4000 id buy it... sell the tires and put 40-44's on it... and gear it correctly... just for the price you cant beat it..

you buy it.. do all the changes.. then make one big post on start to finish... so then you get bashed less....

Dad-gum' Oregon & Washington is loaded with these trucks. By far the most I see for sale are up that way.

i found a guy who will have a 2wd crew at his house... in 1 week.. he bought it for the motor, wire harness and gas tank wiring....

so im gonna try and get the cab and cross brace.. he said he put a 2wd cab on his 4wd and didnt have issues.. but did it for PA.. so im gonna call trenton tomorrow to say.. my cab is rotten and i found a donor.. what do i have to do to get it swapped over? then when swapped is it considered still what the frame is or what the cab is?
the cab he thinks is a low gvrw but said it is a k30 or k3500 so i dont see it being below 7400gvrw... for nj lift laws i need to be minimum 7500gvrw... to be legal.. and i really want the 13k gvrw but want to be legal too....

you said its 2wd he is getting.

and then you said k30 ..

also dont ask them ANY specifics.

thell them you have a full vehicle and are doing a restoration project. whats the rules behind used replacement body parts. some states have a % of less than is fine. if more than requires full state check over with correct paper work and possible new state vin givin out.

dont tell them you are swaping a cab that might throw off a big red flag.

and as to the 13k wanted. see if the other guy will sell you the section of the dash with the vin tag rivited in and NOT nemoved cut the section of the dash out. then get the title and paper work with it.

then you can use that paper and tag to start your new build with the local cab.

sometimes the dmv can be real crazy on the info you give them to whats givin back. some states use frame as title and or body as title so play vary stupid .

well, then, it seems all of our oregon members should be able to drive a crew cab if they so choose...:haha: that is if they can offord the fuel for one :angry1:
