Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

I'm not sure yet. I'm wanting to go full tube bed for sure. Than I'm not sure on how big I'm going to go. Ill either run 37s or 39s but I kind of want to keep it as low as I can. But I'm more focused on an engine right now. I'm probably going to go with a cheap 350 for now then hopefully someday switch to a 5.3 or a 6.0

That would be pretty cool! I'm also beginning to like the obs and even more so the nbs trucks! Just seems like they are becoming what the older trucks once were. Plentiful and cheap in good shape.

I think we should include ccsrw and ccdrw long bed 4x4s of that body style in this thread. I'd really like to do a sas'd ccsrwlb 4x4 for my next rig.. Let-um-fly!! What years were those in 1ton? 88-98?

Yeah, I just figured it out on auto trader.. Some nice rust free trucks out there! A little off topic for this thread but since I'm the OP what the hell.. I was thinkin of doin a sas on one of these; whadya think.. Should I look for in a rig; I think I've read it's easier to start w a 2wd vs a 4wd if your going to go divorced case.. Anybody know off the top of their head if you can get away w the stock case and ford d60? Can someone point me at a good build thread?

I've had a 95 and a 96, liked em pretty well for comfort, and the 454Vortec was a pretty sweet engine I thought.
The non vortec 350's just didnt have the balls for fullsize though.
My burb was a 95, and was a great on road ride, haul 7 people plus stuff comfortably...just a great all around ride, but short in the pants for towing.

yeah, I'll start gathering marine parts for a nice MPFI 496, so a few yrs down the road I'll dump that in to replace the 454, unless I do the Cummins swap...

matter of fact, I acquired an intake for such a motor today.... ;)
