Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

when it gets here, probably 3, 4 weeks... I've been yacking about it in a few threads... stoked tho.... I think it'll be pretty bada$$ in a yr or 2... it's nice to have a purpose in hunting freebie BB parts at the marina now..

Torture! Torture i say! I think i have a decent idea of whats going on but i just wanna know it all!

it comes without the bed.... it's getting my own tube bed when it gets here...

You bought that one!?! Aw man! THats bad ass!!! Fk the dodge! Thats where its at! Are you just having it shipped? Did you buy it from iceman?

yeah, paid Issaam last weekend... he's working on getting the bed off and getting it ready to ship.... than it'll be a U-ship gig..

tho I'm disappointed in not getting the Cummins, I'm very happy to be building another square body... This is really the rig I originally came up with the tube bed idea for...

it may get a Cummins swap down the road, but in the meantime I'm really stoked to have a BB after such a long time... in my biz, I certainly have access to a ton of BB stuff...

Obs crew cabs didn't start until 92'. They do seem to be less beat up, cheaper and more available than the square body trucks. Thats why i have been considering one. I already have a 215hp 98 12 valve lined up. Not cheap, but low mileage and complete.

I wouldn't have to locate a trans. Its already a 5spd. I bet the frame is better. Its boxed to the end of the cab.
I was considering getting a dodge, but the damn cab ia juat too small. I need a real rear door. Im mot a big fan of the balljoint front axle with a cad either

it would be a bit more work though since it would need a sas. Idk yet. When I sell my wrangler and have cash in hand, I will worry more about which body it is.

I just think the square bodies have MUCH MUCH better looking sheetmetal imo... better lines... great platform to build on..

actually, i don't know... I don't think so cuz it has a 70 out back.. but you would think it might be with that monstrosity on the back.. C&C bought for the purpose of putting that on.. what exactly are the differences again in a C&C?

Yeah this truck is not a C&C.
It was a regular Crewcab and they modified the springs and put the big monster bed on.
The C&C trucks come with narrower beds, this one is 8.5' wide and I think 10' long
I had a blazer in the back there frame and tub with the lift gate flipped open.:thumb:

cool, good to know... I don't even want to know how your getting that thing off of there... :eek1: :haha:

In Nebraska they sure are. The frame under a 1973 will generally look better than the frame under a 1988.
