Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

These mid-size GM trucks are awsome, but most states charge as much for registration fees as a big rig.
That's where Iowa is actually awesome.
Those would be $55 a year.
so if its titled as a k10 then all these mods make it useless for the weight capacity of a k30 . . in most states you cant upgrade a titled gvw easy at all .

looks decent but as a real work truck its useless as a k10 on paper .
And here is different on that too. Unless your using it for a business, the gvw doesn't really mean anything.

My 91 one ton costs more than my 06 dodge 2500 even though the dodge weighs more and is capable of pulling significantly more. Not legally but you know what I mean.

I have had square bodies rated a 10,000 GVW that cost me more in registration because 10,000 GVW is a magic number that many state DMV's will start charging you more due to the fact a heavier GVW truck will do more damage to road surfaces than lighter vehicles will, which causes more road repairs. Time to start the disagreements because thats what knowing everything is about.

Just looked and up to 10k is normal $55.

A gvw of 15000 would be around $200.

Yikes, i looked deeper, tailgate/pan and rocker panel was enough for me.

It is no reserve, curious to see where it goes. High bidder must not have looked through all the photos. I was guilty of that myself. The rare graphics caught my eye. The rest cant be unseen.

One time when I was registering my 1985 1-Ton dually k30 I asked a DMV clerk why the registration for my 85 K30 dually that has a GVWR of 10,000 cost more than my 1991 1-Ton V3500 Crew Cab that has a GVWR of 9,700 ? She said because of the GVRW of 10,000 is the magic number that registration starts to cost more.

Hammered for $32k :yikes:

I dont see anything particularly special about this one, currently at $39.5 ending today…am i missing something?

If not, then I need to increase my insurance policy!

That red blazer is finer'n frogs fur. Red with white wheels is a good look for sure.
No expense spared on that rough country outfit.

My old crew cab has resurfaced again for sale in Athens Tn., $16,500. It’s way overpriced for what’s been done to it.

(Post up if the FB link doesn’t work)

I don’t know. It’s popped up twice on FB marketplace and each time it’s cobbled up worse than before.

Was TBI 350, 4l80e/205 now it has a carb’d 454 and a 4spd. All the dash wiring was wrecked the last time I saw it listed. Who knows if it still has the 4.56’s and lockers.

And he has the same attitude,... it's worth 30k if all done so I want 16k...
