Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

I loved that truck. I hate what its become.

You and me both.

When it went up for sale in 2017 I was really leaning towards buying it back until the guy (I think the same as current) sent me additional pics showing the trashed interior and fubar'd dash & harness (pics in my albums here). At that point I lost all desire for THAT truck, it needed (needs) so much work that it would be easier to start with a clean / unmolested '81+ 2wd (cheaper) and build up from there.

clean V2.0 best option past this point .

And he has the same attitude,... it's worth 30k if all done so I want 16k...

I never understood that logic.

A few years ago, I was looking at an '81 Z28 for sale. All original and solid, but very rough and the trans had no reverse. I told him I thought his asking price of 6k was too high for me to be interested. Then he went on saying that the fully restored ones were bringing 30k at auction. I just remember thinking to myself "what the heck does that have to do with the price of tea in china" lol. It would take 30k or more just to get that car into show condition.

Exactly

People use all kinds of irrational rationale to make themselves feel better about what they are doing.

Here’s a ‘74 Blazer for sale. “Fullsizeinvasion” (Jerrod Jones, magazine & event guy) posted it for sale on FB.

Body's nice enough for some upgrades though.
