WOW!!! You don't like the NV4500 or 4L80E?? And the SM465 was in the early ones.
:D
The transmissions were the best part of them, IMO.

But, yes, the bodies were not good.

The vast majority of them are half tons barely rolling around with 700R4’s/4L60E’s.

Dumb question, but was the GMT800 Suburban ever offered with a manual transmission?
Or was that just a pickup truck option?

I could swear I've seen one, but I can't find any proof of it on the interwebs.... pretty sure I rode in one. But no idea if it was a swap or what.
Looked factory at least :dunno:

This thing is awesome! Not $39k awesome though. Be a sweet off-road camper/hunting build though. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1012578993186967/
4x4 GMC Box Truck. 1987. Only 5k original miles Detroit diesel engine. Runs great. Axle Lockers. Aluminum body. This truck was built for the Denver Airport as a Command Post. Needed to plow through deep snow. Huge recovery winch. Propane generator. Air and heat. 4 kinds of power. Insulated. Would make an awesome off road overland vehicle or food truck. Located in Park City, Utah.
