For 20k I want more than 2 pics
For $20k fix the damn thermostat and/or waterpump and hoses. Drives crazy when people want top dollar and list basic issues but havent/dont plan to fix before the sale.

Who knows how hurt the 454 is from overheating frequently

$2k for an 8.1L yukon xl with a cam.
2001 GMC Yukon XL 2500. 8.1L 496ci 2001 GMC Yukon XL 2500. Very clean well maintained Yukon XL with upgrades. 8.1 L (496 ci) Vortec engine. Plenty of torque and power to do whatever you need. Towing capacity of 12000 lbs. Comp cams XR270HR cam shaft installed for extra horse power and torque over shock Comp roller rockers and upgraded valve train to handle the extra power Modified intake manifold for more air flow into the engine. Needs some work. Might be as easy as a fule pump but not sure. Truck runs strong but every once in a while there is a hesitation in the throttle. 4.10 gears Locking rear differential Entertainment system. DVD Automatic transmission 4l80e 169000 miles.

If I was in Utah I'd probably be on my Way to get it.
Almost guarantee the "hesitation" is it going into limp mode .
That's not hard to remedy.
Wife wants a burb bad.
I'd just tell her it needs a fresh 5.3 and she'd be happy lol.
And then for the 8.1:thinking::burnout:

I've got to imagine that person has 50 messages from people wanting to come look at it by now. It'd be worth 7-10k if it ran normal. But who knows, maybe the hesitation is the transmission giving out, in which case it's not really under-priced. Might be a 4l85e too.

MN8 code for 4L85e became an option in '01 for the 8.1 motors in the XL models and suburbans. I only learned this recently when I was pleasantly surprised to find that my '02 Burb with an 8.1 had this code. Not that it makes anywhere near 690 lb/ft of torque, but it's nice to have the extra bandwidth in case I tear the top end off and get stupid with heads, cams, and intakes.

at this point i would pay 2k for a CLEAN 8.1 pull from a 01-02 with under or at 100k miles for my 02 3500-hd work truck . .

We've actually been looking at mini bikes and go karts for Kaz the last month or so.
I sent her that and she said NOPE.
If he gets a go kart it has to be a 2 seater with a roll cage.:notworthy:
Oh well. Lol
