6" eye to eye

I donno if it fits on the chevy steering box yet, it should though as the jeep box is a saginaw and chevelle arms fit it.

I have a line on a stock '78 Ford pitman arm. Will that clear the frame etc.? Does it need to be re-tapered?

That one don't look like Superlift to me. The Superlift arm is "beefier" meaning its more "squarish" shape than like that one. Hard to explain so will wait for someone to post a pic.

there are two 1104 arms in the shop currently. One is huge beefy and "squarish." The other is just like pictured. :dunno: All other dimensions are the same. Just the shape and overall beef of the thing. Probably made a few different places.

Ford arms should not have to be rereamed. The 1104 is a ford arm. I'm no guru on Fords so I'm sure there are a few out there with a different taper to them.

So does anyone know if a 4 inch drop pitman arm is a total of 4 inches of drop or if is 4 inches more than the stock drop?

It should fit , I have had in one week , Bronco , E150 , YJ , CJ , and my Chevelle arm and they all fit .

I have found the E150 arm is clocked the best out of all the used arms I tried this last week :D

On my 72 Blazer i used a 78 Bronco arm on a GM box. I had to ream it out for the big TRE. The stud on the TRE hit the frame a little. So i heated up the arm till it was cherry and bent it a little, and stuck it in a bucket of sand so it would cool slowly. It has been used hard this summer and no signs of bending or cracks where it was heated. (This is on a race truck not a street truck).
I carry a spare off a Grand Wagoneer that had to be tweeked also.
