crossmember question

My crossmember met a rock and it tweaked it to the rear and also jacked the frame flange where it bolts up. My question is will any 208 crossmember work or do I have to get the same type that is in there? The kind I have is the one with the hump on the passenger side only. Also I tried to straighten the frame flange out but was not that succesful can I just use some 1/4 or 3/8 plate on either side of the flange to spread the load out on more of the frame? Any suggestions or opinions are welcome.

Any 1985 on up short adapter x-member should work.
