Crossover And High Steer Kits - ORD Or Chassis Unlimited

WFO claims the Reid Bronze bushings are too hard for the street and only should be used for competition. Make sense?

lots of guys running on street.

my local buddy I rebuilt his 60 and runs 44" tsl swampers and also the crane spring eliminators.

fyi springless arms = don't need spring eliminators . so if you ordered already guess its your choice on crossover arm style.

I have the Spicer kits and U joints but that is it. Trying to sort it all out and get a grocery list. I think I need to call you and just come up with one.

stock nylon is fine . but if you want beefy and be done bronze .

there easy to swap out later also . so its no biggy at this point .

You just let me know what I need and I will track it down.

52's and 56's have not been known to hold up well AT ALL to DD'ing durability-wise... let alone the bodyroll, drivability possible issues..

wheeler? sure.. lot's of street time? not a chance I'd do it...

I have been reading that. It took a little reading into it because everyone that does it makes it for the most part a wheeler and loves it but don't share much street experiences because it isn't a dd truck.

A few comments, just based on what I've read on this forum. The spindle bearing replacements are not a hands down winner. I've seen people complaining about them, so do some research and make sure it's for you. I looked at it a bit and decided to stick with the roller bearings.

If you go springless in the knuckle, then it's on you to do occasional load adjustments instead of the spring just doing it for you, if I understand correctly. Like the other thing, I personally decided to stay stock until I had a problem. IIRC, the bronze upgrade isn't cheap either.

Yes, I do realize that the bronze is $159, but I am taking my time on this non running truck, so I rather just be satisfied then just get it done. Not sure what you mean by occasional load adjustment.

as parts seat in / wear you need to check the preload setting on spring less arms .

more maintence to preform .

bringing this back up because i'm ordering my stuff asap. Looking at the Northwestfab and ORD kits but not sure If I want to go springless on a truck that see's more street than trail?

Diy4x is another vendor to seriously consider.

Fwiw, I went with spring type arms because I'm not sold on the higher maintenance springless design.

For what its worth i have cassisunlimited set up on mine and it works great!.i swapped to 52s in the front and the straight drag link dosnt mingle well with the front cross member..im fixing this.but chassis stuff is well made and im partial because they are localish to me and i like that.for a year i drove my truck on the street as well as off,on 41" radials no problem whatsoever.

I am staying with springs for now since the truck will see plenty of road...hopefully. :pimp:
