Looking for some input on the ORD kit and the Chassis Unlimited Cross Over and High Steer kits. I will be installing it on a 60 in '87 K5. I will be running 37" and used in the mud / sand.

Thanks for the help.

off road design has got so much of my money and customers of mine money its crazy .

ord makes nice stuff and stands behind it 100% :waytogo:

I have the ORD HD Front Shackles. I think there stuff is great. I do like the high steer.

Id say ORD because I know alot of people including myself have it and it works great.

And they are a great group of people and super friendly to help you out.

My only reason that I haven't jump right at it is a almost brand new AGR Performance box and of course it is 4WD. So, $480 of box that is collecting dust on the floor.

Build your own pitman arm by chopping up and welding to the 4wd pitman splined section.

Ktmoutfront here did this.

I concur with the others. I have a D60 ORD crossover kit and it's everything I wanted and more. It totally fixed my sloppy/underpowered steering problem. Amazing customer service/support as well.

I would only do hi steer if your really need it because your are bending tie rods. It puts a lot more stress on the knuckles.

I'm trying to remember whose arms I went with. Regular crossover and springless, with driver side matching cap. I think Ruff Stuff Specialties. The arms and draglink are great. I used ORD's mega HD tierod.

I'm allowed to bring another option into the ring because I personally have spent thousand with ORD already :)

EDIT: WFO concepts. That's where I got the stuff

Well I need to get my 60 rebuild list together, please chime in on what else I need.
I already have DS 706395-R kits and new U joints. So I still need:

from ORD Reid Racing bronze kingpin bushings. The end of broken plastic kingpin bushings! - $159

Kingpin spring eliminator kit. The urethane block replaces the spring so there is still a little give in the system but with nothing to wear out! Instructions included - $60 or should I get the Crane kit?

Dana 60 inner axle seals. Not the cheesy seals from the parts store that don't have the bells to guide the shaft in, these are the right part for the job.
$9/each - GU5114

Just the cross over or GK39GMD604-6 '67-'87 ('91) GM truck with GM D60, 4-6" of lift $440

2WD Steering Box.

Going to check bearings tomorrow, but last I looked hubs where in great shape.

Spindle or stub shaft bearing eliminators. Not sure what they are called but they go inside the spindles. I ditched mine in favor of the nylon bushings sold by ?Longfield Axles? Pound out the bearing and these go right in place. Best thing for stub shaft longevity.

I can't seem to find anything on it.

I am running ORDs crossover and high steer, and also went with Longfields nylon replacement. So far, no comlaints:waytogo: On a side note, I know I purchased the bushings from their website, butI can't seem to find it now?

Ok, now I am venturing off with more wild ideas. Going to 52" fronts. If I am already doing cross over and think about going to a different rate front springs, then how far am I away from doing this, so...

It is a street truck also, not just a wheeler. Will I have adverse effects on the road? I have some ideas on the coming up with a sway bar, but didn't plan on it being on most of the time aways.

Handling better, worse or the same on the street. Now I am going to a longer shock also, right?

Shock towers need to be moved forward, whose to use?

Whose shocks to use?
