Is there a minimum amount of suspension lift required (for clearance purposes) to use the ORD crossover steering for either the dana44 or dana60?

It starts getting tough to fit all the parts below about a 3" lift. And really below that height the factory steering works pretty well for the uses that a 3" lifted full size will serve.
Are you looking to go lower than that? It's possible, just not as easy.

Stephen--thanks for the info. I was planning on a 4" lift, no more than that, as I don't want to get too high--I'll cut sheetmetal if necessary. I checked the ORD website and didn't see a minimum lift dimension in the crossover steering section (hope I didn't overlook it!).

It might not say on the site, but there's very limited demand for crossover with less than a 4". So in your case, no problems. In fact, the majority of our kits are with 4-6" lifts.
