Ive read what to do MULTIPLE times, but just dont get it... :doah::dunno:
I'm the king of over-thinking things.

The two wires I have, from my new wire harness are Alt Excite and Alt power.

The wires on the Alt connector are: S-F-L-P.

I know What (S)ense does.
I know you don't use (P).

My problem:

I intend to use a 330ohm resistor, in line. (Instead of an idiot light.)
Which wire does it go on.... "F" or "L"? :dunno:

And, what does the other wire get connected to? :dunno:

On my 1990 I only moved my key on power to the i terminal, different terminal than my 130. No resistor needed. But I Swapped to a heavy duty regulator when I put the 200 amp stator in.
L is for the light.

Mine just has a single wire going to the alternator. Key power through the gauge to the alternator.

Im thinking the Resistor goes in between the "L" and "Exciter" wires.
Taking the place of the light. (Which is just a resistor.)

Pretty sure that all the light circuits in gm's are key power to the bulb (resistor) and from the bulb to the L terminal on the regulator. This diagram is from a Chevy with a cs-144

Cool.... That totally clears it up. :thumb:

Searching just confused me more. :doah:
You'd be amazed how many threads just END.
No explanation... Just end. :haha:
