CUCV Blazer and M1008 Wheels

According to the guys on Steel Soilders site, you can run the HMMV wheels on stock M1008, M1009 by adding 2" spacers. This gives you the correct backspacing. To run HMMV wheels on an M1009 (6 lug) you would need to use 2" spacers, patterned 6 lug to 8 lug. This only makes sense if you just want a military look or the wheels are free...because the spacer/adapters ain't cheap, and the wheels are HEAVY.
Good Luck

Better to just swap in 3/4 ton or heavier axles under the M1009. Those 3.08 geared 10 bolts are under the gun with those heavy ass HMMWV tires and rims.

I agree, at the very least, lower gears, even with lower gears the drive train still has to deal with some really heavy flywheels on the ends of the axle.
