CUCV Blazer

I just picked up my CUCV Blazer. I am putting my M715 project to the side to get this one done. I have a set of excellent condition M1028 CUCV axles to go in it. 4.56 gears, detroit rear, powerlock front, Dana 60/14 bolt.

I have a 6.2 built up already. I will be putting a web page toegether to detail the buildup. I do not think more can be done to a 6.2. Should do 300HP/500 FTLBS at about 1900 rpm.

I am going to run an eaton 30% gear splitter/OD and NP205 when I get the time to do the install. In the meantime, I am going to run the stock T400/NP208.

The CUCV is very low mileage and I will have a nice set of 10 bolts to sell or trade. I need a tailgate, all of the pedal assembly, steering column, etc. to convert this to a standard, and some other stuff.

sounds like a nice project. If i am ever in houston i will let you know and maybe i can stop by and give you a hand with something. i may be interested in those 10 bolts when they become available. what gears do they have? let me know and I could come get them!

The 10 bolts are 3.07 geared, front open, rear Gov Lock. Low mileage.

The Eaton unit is an axuillary transmission that mounts between the bellhousing and transmission. Like a AA Ranger OD/gear splitter unit but a lot heavier duty for big trucks. It is 30% for OD or splitting gears. The trans is a NP435 with NP205 tcase.
