ttt. Perches are 40" center to center. Axle width is 64" wheel face to wheel face. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller??

Glad to see i'm not the only person with one of these frankensteins.
Frankestein? Looks like that'd be a good way to go if you wanted to upgrade your rear and not have to swap out your wheels.

I'm curious how the axles are retained now that it's a semi floater and it says NO C-CLIPs!

I'd imagine much like the Ford 9" rear. And like the 12 bolt c-clip eliminator kit.

The hole in the axle flange is to access the 4 bolt retaining plate that holds the axles in.

Is the axle as strong as an original 14FF? No. But this a whole lot more stout than your average 1/2 ton six lug rear axle with a 9.5 inch ring gear (or smaller) and small differential.

FWIW: The previous owner paid $1700 + labor for this...I do have the receipt. It was built by J&S Gear Co. in Huntington Beach, CA.

Definately stronger than a 1/2 ton axle or even the 9.5" semi floater.

ttt. Was slightly off on my measurements. Perches are 40.5 inches. Width is 64.25 WMS-WMS.

$450.

ttt. Axle work is starting over the winter. Pulling this one in the next weekend or two.

$350. Anyone?

Yes, it's on my 1st gen (72) right now. Spring perches are @ 40.5 inches which should be right for most 1/2 ton K5s. Stock ebrake works.

Would you be willing to ship (Forward Air) to Albuquerque, NM?

I assume everything is in good shape and is ready to bolt up?

It's pretty much sold at this point. We're waiting on me to pull it and ship it to finalize. If it falls thru for any reason, I'll let you know.

Sale fell through. Axle is back up for sale. Pulling off the truck on 1/3. Can ship it any time after that.
