Here's a small sampling (I need to take more pics) of some of the custom beadlocks we have done. Everything from 15" to 24" has been done.

So far I haven't charged for the drafting ever. Sometimes it takes me a few days to find the time to sit down and do the drafting though, so custom takes a bit more time.

This one is a custom inner and outer. Turned out pretty sweet and very creative!

SMDF, can't remember what that meant. I think it is a biker thing maybe??

Not uncommon to see rims like this show up at the shop for beadlock welding. This kind of rash is usually no problem. Out is an easy fix, bashed in is a little more time consuming. If you have rims like this and want to have us add beadlocks, please email me a photo first!!! Usually not a problem, but you'd be surprised to see some rims that have showed up!

Here's a set that was fully welded at the shop as well as custom rings cut. This is a pretty common way to go when doing the 3/4 ton or 1 ton axle install and 8 lug rims are needed.

Some other details, All our bolt holes on pretty much everything are chamfered. This helps prevent bolt shear.

Our outer rings get chamfered all away around the OD on the tire side. The sharp 90* edge can get hard on tires at extreme low pressures between the rocks and the rims! A rolled edge can preserve the tire carcass.

Get that creativity going and personalize your beadlocks!

Hmmm, we may need to work on some 17" CK5 wheels for the UAV.

what about H2 bead locks?

I've quoted aluminum beadlocks alot of times but when it comes down too it, nobody had done it. I can cut them no sweat but the cost usually prohibits.

:haha: Sorry about that Kert. They came out awesome though. Thanks again man! :waytogo:

How much would an aluminum set cost? I've got most of the drivetrain for my next project and I'm looking to keep it super light.

Hey Kert, can I just have my IRS chack sent to your shop so my wife won't know haw much money I am going to spend with you?

x2, for the yota buggy I have some super cheap cast AL 15" rims... beadlocks would be a good thing. Can you even weld a ring to cast aluminum or does it pretty much have to be a forged wheel?

Aluminum is doable but the price sucks! It'd be nice to get a few guys together to help control costs a bit.

Welding to cast aluminum shouldn't be a problem. Tig welding. I've fixed cast aluminum wheels that were cracked and it seemed to weld up just fine.

Not to detract from your thread but one thing you might want to consider is cutting the rings out in sections...that would save a LOT of AL.

if we can get a group AL buy i would be in if the price was right

i have 5 H2 rims that need to be done

Works for the inners, is it enough of a savings to deal with the headache?

Well, assuming you're making inner rings that are 15" OD and 13" ID (I don't know your exact specs, so I'm guessing) you can get 99 1/3 sections of inners out of a 4x8 sheet. That's 33 inner rings...probably a few more with a little finagling. Making a solid design, you're only gonna get 18 or so rings out of a 4x8. Granted, you'd have a lot of al left over in the centers, and the sections will need to be welded, but I don't know what you regularly make that could get cut out of aluminum.

Got some really sweet stuff coming off the table these days! Custom is an understatement!

I'll get another pic of my beadlocks Kert.

I got the outer rings painted now..
