does that have a body lift...
No. There's actually a horizontal gap we're trying to work through right now. The surface of the bumper is about even with the painted part under the grill.

Finally got back to working on this bumper. I pushed it back about an inch and the gap looks good now. Compared to the grill valence it's about 1/4" higher at one side compared to the other, which is noticeable with them right next to each other. I'm inclined to live with it rather than wallow out a hole or something like that. I thought maybe I could tweak the valence, so I loosened the body bolts connecting it, but wasn't able to get much movement (anyone know if it should be possible?). Hopefully it'll be less noticeable when the bumper is black.
Right now it's held on by 4 grade 8 bolts. Is that enough? My Jeep bumper has about 20 bolts holding it on, but the frame is different and allows more places to attach.

was gona say body bushings gone is the more common gap problem .

and you can remoce the valence and egg those holes a bit to tweek it . but not gona get much as its the lower mounting point for the grill / headlight bezels.
maybe shim the core support up @ body mount just that 1 .
my 2wd I had to shim a few spots to get the body line good . if I recall 3 of the 6 mounts got a big fat washer to space the cab/forward up to line op to the box body line.

The bushings are all new and in good shape. Expecting everything to be correct to 1/4" is too much to ask I think, without custom tweaking. Plus, I probably didn't get the new holes perfect anyway.
Yeah, I guess there are 3 holes per side if you count the big oval one. I was toying with the idea of welding a piece of plate to go over the top, so the bumper would have an upside down "L" for mounting, but honestly, I'd have a hell of a time getting the mounting holes right without being able to drill through with it all put together. That area is all hidden once the bumper is on. If 2 or 3 is standard for all your bumpers, I'm sure it's good enough for me too.
My old junky rear bumper is mounted similarly, and if I jack on it, it rotates a little. That's why I'm thinking about it.
3 per side is the standard and will hold up to quite a lot. Use one of the supplied washers over the ovaled one. You're looking to increase friction between the bracket and frame rail. Each bolt you add increases that friction.
When I have a situation like this, I tend to spread the adjustment over more items rather than do it all on one piece.
In otherwords, tweak the valance a tick, shim the body mount just a smidge and bump the holes a bit and you're there without any significant modification to any one thing.

Did you send hardware? I didn't find anything. I'm just using grade 8's from my stash. Are the washers unusual in some way, or just flat washers?
I think I'm just going to rattle-can the bumper for now in black. If it doesn't hold up well, I'll consider powder later. It's not that hard to take off.

Yep, sent hardware. Grade 8 stuff. Nothing special about the flat washers.
