Custom/Homemade Bumpers Anyone?

Front bumper just has six bolts , 3 on each side . Rear bumper has 3 bolts , 2 each side , plus the tailgate spring bolt each side . Then the rear also has the kickers to the frame . Matt az-k5 made these . And counting the time on his rig and mine , has been winched , beat , pounded , tugged , and smashed numerous times :D

pics in order front , rear , rear kickers .

Niice!!

Who did your bumpers? Was it local or a CK5 Vendor? If you did these yourself... I say quit the day job and start selling those bumpers:bow:

That is super sexy! Me want one! Please tell:bow:

Chev4Life, I like the side angle cut on the rear bumper. A nice compromise for off-road / street driving;)

So what size of spare tire do you guys have mounted?

I want to put a 37" tire on a swing out arm but I'm also concerned with being able to look out the back window for highway driving. I'll drop the tire below the top of the bumper to gain some room but I'm also wondering how much room I should give the clevis mounts & tow hitch:confused:

Its not mine (i wish)...its Blue85's.

Big83Chevy4x4 built this for me. We worked together on the design, using the 4WDmetalworks one as a starting point.

The overall look is a compromise between the tapering bumpers, and the large straight sheet-of-steel types.

I still need a 14" drop hitch so I can tow stuff, though.

Nice bumpers

I'm building my own tire carrier and bumper now, it's a real tricky being a novice and all. Thanks for posting what your sporting, it gives me hope and ideas.
