I am in the process of designing a custom rear bumper but am concerned about how to deal with the torque rod. It is the rod that runs into the tailgate and then hooks onto a torx bolt underneath the bumper on the bumper bracket. There are two, one on each side. If I mount the bumper beyond the torx bolt, the bumper will stick out farther than I wanted. how have you guys dealt with this? I was planning on using 3x5" 1/4" wall tubing for the bumper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Fill out your specs sheet and I can email you a picture of what I did. Its not that far out if you leave the frame the way it is.

DANGIT it's not a bronco!

Here's pics of my brackets - just simple, unimpressive angle iron. http://wsphotofews.excite.com/035/GU/ZL/pq/Ad98137.jpg

If the shoe fits, get another one just like it
