Custom windshield spray system?

Remember those old Lundt (sp?) windshield visors that bolted on over the windshield? What if you put something like that over your windshield, say extending 12" over your roofline? That would catch the big clumps of mud from land directly on your glass? It would have to be sturdy - maybe like an extended roof rack.

A friend on mine had a pump on his Baja's reservoir (didn't like the taste of the spare tire air) and had the hose coiled up in the glove box. A short time after a trip thru the drive-thru and they were good to go!

Kinda off topic, but I used a winshield washer pump to pump water to a set of mist nozzels I have zip tied to my cage. Got the kit at Home Depot for 10 bucks. My truck never had a/c, so when the top is off those nozzles give me cool air on the trail or in traffic. They point down and kinda at the back seat. The tank I used was a five gallon container I used to haul saltwater for my fishtanks in. It has a screw on lid and I ran the supply line into the breather hole. I would be cooking on a trail and flip a switch and I had 30 degre cooler air all around me. The only problem was that real dusty conditions would make for a mess on everything. Small price to pay for staying cool on the trail. It scared my passengers a time or two when the water first hits.
