I want to take my 3" BL pucks and cut in half into 1.5"ers. I tried a sawzall and ended up butchering one pretty bad. Not enough to clamp into the band saw or chop saw either. Thought about bolting 2 pucks together then using band saw and just rotate a couple times so I don't cut through bolt and loose it. Any other ideas that I'm not thinking of?

could but its the type that falls down on its own, not really a upright. I have used it upright before but it has a small base then (like 1"x1") which is really just the gaurd.

well, I bolted 2 pucks together and used our big band saw, works pretty good. Cut till I hit bolt the rotated some. Thanks guys

if you look at the blocks there cast 180 off from the other half for strength. if you need 1.5 lift best get some aluminum or steel blocks made for the job. i wouldnt feel same running them my self like that.

I plan on doing this to level out my bed because I have about a 2.5 body lift on the cab and a full 3" on the bed.

If you cut dead center it makes a full top too though with just holes not wide open. I'm not too worried about it. I got it all on tonight (can see pics in the 69-72 board)
