cutting cat on '91s throw SES code?

my dad has a '91 Blazer TIP 350 I dont know much about these (im into either carbed motors or LSX motors) anyways he wants to pull his cat out (FL no testing) Im just woundering if its going to throw a code?

You mean TBI 350? If so, cut it - I took the cat off my 91 crew cab with no problems.

you will be fine removing the cat it will not throw any codes being that it is not OBD II

i cut out my cat on my 88 350 tbi and have had no problems

if no o2 after cat then no problems except in inspection time.

It wont be a problem to remove the cat because it doesnt have any post cat O2S.
