D60 guru\'s, help with spline info

Whats the deal with the inner shaft spline count? I noticed there are 19 spline, 30, and 35 spline. Can anyone tell me what is common for Chevy's? I am getting a carrier and want to make sure its going to be the same as the 60 I am getting. I dont have eaither yet, but I plan on picking up the carrier before the axle.

Chances are real good that its a 30 spline.

Inner spline on Chevy Dana 60's is 35.

I must have been thinking outer or something else real dumb. Didn't the older chev D60's have 30 splines on the inside?

I sent you a PM, but this is for everybody else. On the FRONT Dana 60, GM variety, they are 35 spline inners and 30 spline stubs. On rear GM Dana 60's they could be 19 spline or 30 spline with everyone (of the three lol) that I have ever seen being 30 spline. You can convert them to 35 by boring out the spindles and getting new shafts and carrier.

I think I am wright on this, anybody else.

I've seen some rear D60s with 16 spline axleshafts in my local junkyard, but I think they're a Ford. They're very rare, but rear 35 spline GM D60s exist. Somebody on this site has one from a '68 K20 Camper Special.
