You are talking about flanges and the 35 is weaker than 30 argument is speaking of locking hubs. The main problem is with the increase in spline count you have to increase the shaft diameter. Doing this on a locking hub decreases material on the gear in the hub with no gain in thickness to increase contact area. This cause the internals of a 35 spline locking hub to be inherently weaker than a 30 spline locking hub.

Yes.......all Chevy's I've seen have the internal hubs. A lot of Dodge front 60's had external hubs.

mine look external but have no bolts like the external ones? hmm
 
well the 30spline warns i ordered from porc same, except they are 35spline. looks like ill be goin 35spline instead :p:

well finally got stuff pulled apart i got a steel on the hubs bought them locally for $ 107 for some nice warn ones so i can't complain

30s or 35s?

now i jus need to find some 35spline outers
