On a fulltime D60, would it be possible to run safely without the internal hub locking parts and pieces? It would be a poor mans manual locker until I can afford the real deal. When I wanna wheel it I have to install the parts and pieces before I go. My intent here is not to drive the internals while in "daily driver" mode and save a bit on MPG /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif . This is on a K5 with a 208.
Sucks being poor /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Yeah, you can run with the drive flange, spacer, spring and snap rings out without any problems. The only problem I can think of is that maybe over a period of time the cap might lose its tight fit so be careful of that, otherwise go for it!

Thanks for the info. Nice to know this is an option until I can find/afford manuals. BTW, nice web site, beastie truck you got there /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
