Dakota digital VHX read out.

Maybe I can order a new cable from dakota digital? But every time I've messaged them it hasn't been met with very good customer service

Looks like a standard Cat 5 cable. Got a spare one you could test out? Just make sure the wires are the same using a continuity tester so you don’t fry anything.

Nah... I'll ask around maybe one these Chevy-bro shops has one laying around
If not I'll message dakota

Used my wife's phone my pics aren't coming out because of the clear plastic, the glare was messing with it.

Maybe you can see it better here?

Unplug the cable from your modem and your wireless router and use that. Same cable.

You should upgrade it to a cat 7 cable for faster speeds and more bandwidth while you have it out.

Hard to tell if that’s the same as a cat 5. Only way is to look at the wires one each cable to make sure they’re the same from end to end or use a continuity tester/ohm meter to verify. That plastic can get brittle with heat though so it may not be the installers fault.

Probably the heat cracked it

Both Cat5
the odometer is better with the yellow as opposed to the stock black one. But the clock is still frazzled with both

Does the tach always display the clock or can you change what it displays by pressing a button? May just be the LCD is bad.

You can change it. I just thought of that as well. But I will try that tomorrow. I'm hungry and thirsty.... so.. hahah

That seems reasonable. Amazon has some 1 footers but I didn’t find any with the protective rubber boot on the end in the quick search I did. Basically anything will work. It’s just used for low speed data transmission.

Should. If you’ve got a Best Buy or Office Depot or something like those they’ll have them. Shoot I’ve got the parts laying around I could build you one and ship it but that’s probably more than Amazon. Any network patch cable should work.

That’s the one I was looking at. Although after thinking about it, it might be worth the extra couple bucks and wait to get the one from Dakota so you don’t have to tear it apart again. Your call.

There is a local shop that is a dakota distributor. I messaged them on IG. Maybe I'll grab this Amazon one for a back up..
