need sum input on what yall thank bout runnin 37'' boggers on a dana 44.

anybody that has run this set up before, did you beak axles or u-joints often.

and if anybodys got pics of there rigs on 37'' boggers post em up.

I have only broke one short side ujoint but I haven't had any problems since I installed a spicer joint. I am not a rock crawler but I have done some easy rocks with no trouble. My boggers are 38.5".

What kind of wheeling are you in to? I have 36's on my burb with a caddy motor and 10 bolt. I haven't broke it yet but i don't go wild. Just mild trails and mud really.

ive only broke one shaft with my setup and it was my fault just being to ballzy with the the front locke 37bfg 44

Type of wheeling and auto vs manual will matter quite a bit.
That is a pretty heavy tire that will eat ball joints/u joints fast.
I would look for something lighter and less wide.

Open you will be fine. locked not so much

agreed. also how wide of a bogger? i seen some skinny ones.

ive had the same 10 bolts for about 7-8 years. 373 gears. have had 38 inch tsls on them for about 6 of those years. heres a picture of my 6000lb burb with a 400 with the 38s and ten bolts. broke one front axle shaft right by the ujoints flooring it on gravel. they even outlasted 3 trucks

same 10 bolts are under a SFA s10 with 33inch boggers and still holding up great.

just know that you have ten bolts. ease into the throttle ease off. no rock hopping or jumping :)

the boggers im lookin at are the 37 13.5s

my k5s got a 4in lift, 350, sm465, np241, and 3/4 ton runnin gear open front and rear for now goin to put a locker in the back soon.

most of my wheelin is mild trails, sum rocks, and mud mud mud:D

your one of those...........:doah:

hey man im from tenn. and down here in the south every trail you go on theres gona be mud and good bits of it. it aint dry and all rocks like you got out in cal. climbin on the mud covered rocks around here would be a whole different world for you. thats why most of the guys i know who climb the big rocks round here run rockwells. cause u gota put the skinny pedal to the floor and hold it there and pray for the best.

its cool man. yea mud covered rocks are a different animal. and all the deep mud i play in is kinda one of those thangs when your buddys say you cant make it and you just have to try and prove em wrong or get further than they did lol. i mostly just like to ride on trails with sum mud holes, some rocky hills, but mostly just easy riden and havin a good time with my buddys.
