dana 44 breakage and pictures

If you have seen a 44 break into 2 pieces before, where does it usually break? I thought if they broke it was common for them to snap where the tube enters the housing. Well out wheeling today the owner of the off-road shop here in town jumped his truck.

It bounced about 2 times and came to a dead stop. It snapped the 44 in half right about where the ring gear is located. I will post pictures tomorrow. there was plenty of carnage, but i was just curious on your guys' 44 breakage knoledge
