You can change the hub assemblies to the '77 and newer necked down internal style ones and run regular internal style locking hubs (same as 1/2 tons).

Or you can just go buy the aftermarket Warn or other brand external style locking hubs. They are a bit more spendy though. It's hard to find a "good" set of the factory large Spicer hubs that the trucks came with originally.

Think I'll just get the hubs for this axle.


What about axle shafts? They all the same?

if you need tyhe ih 3/4 ton axle setup i have a 3/4 ton pickup frame thats going to be striped soon. let me know if you want them.

If it's disc brake I'd probably buy the knuckles out? Plus shipping. Ouch!
