I can get a dana 44 front axle for 350-400 canadian.
it has new ball joints and the seals have been replaced.
It will match my 14bff with 373 gears that I picked up for a hundred bucks. is this a good price and what should I look out for?
Oh yeah its out of a 77 gmc p/u, will everything still bolt up to my 88 blazer?

That doesnt sound too bad. Most of the junkyards down here wanted about $350 for just a 10 bolt rear.

Heck, just the ball joints are US$150ish for the set (at least the nice Moog ones I bought were.)

From where and what brand?

Ball joints are not something I would go "cheap" with. These ball joints are a very, very vital part of the steering system and using "cheap" ones can/will make or break a truck. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

I like to use name brand ball joints like MOOG. I pay around $25 for each one and never have trouble with them.

Again, I cannot stress the importance of not using cheap parts. My life and others lives are too important to save money for. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
