Can someone explain how to remove a hub like this?
I only found one forum with some info on these
This isn’t mine but I have hammered mine on both sides
I drilled/tapped holes in the second ring from the center but broke the cheap bolts from my HF puller
I’m gonna get grade 8 bolts for my puller and try tapping a couple more holes

That's probably going to need some muriatic acid.
There's a snap ring on the stub shaft and that's it. Looks like yours is gone. So just rust pressure is holding it on.

Just to say it, there should be a barrel shaped spacer behind that gear that is almost the inner diameter of the bearing hub. If you’re swapping to manual locking hubs be sure to remove it.

That photo wasn’t mine but that’s what I’m working with only less rusted
Right now I have a timing gear puller on the flange right outside the stub shaft. There’s two bolts i put into the flange, I don’t see a snap ring behind it on the shaft so I reckon it is rust welded, not wanting to free with my impact
Do I have the puller on the right part?
Wondering if it should be on the outermost flange piece

Check the inner bore of the bearing hub for a snap ring. I don’t think there should be one on the slugs but you never know what people have done over the last 50ish years.

I didn’t find a lock ring in the outside so I splashed some muriatic acid on it

I’m trying to save the hubs to get them converted to srw! The other side was taken apart by the previous owner so I got one

Does anybody got an idea before I try and get my hands on a gas axe this weekend?
