dana 60 FRONT LOCKER ?

I run a detroit because they are half the cost, stronger and more reliable than an ARB. Detroit are tons easier to install than an ARB as well. People complain that they have trouble steering in the rocks with an automatic locker in the front, but I don't think it is really that big a deal. Besides, if you have a front locker you will want hydro assist anyway (selectable or not, your front end will be locked in when everything is bound up and you will need hydro assist).

"Detroit Is stronger and more reliable than an ARB" I say NOT!!! I have all ways run ARB's.. But I do like the OX-lockers.. Just my two cents :D :D

How many Detroits have you seen broken versus ARB's? On this board I've seen several people end up with non functioning ARB's, and no Detroit failures. The Detroit is stronger, simpler, more reliable and half the price.

I run a Dynotrax locker in my front 60. Its been 4 years now and no problems. I have exploded front drivelines, blew a ring and pinion, and spit an axle shaft. The locker keeps on ticking. Built 454, 40" tires.

I have seen Detroits brake more parts as they lock and unlock as you hit the gas and let off.. Save your money and get a spool!!! :D :D

For me, it's Detroit, period. And you can't be serious about a front spool? It's hard enough to bring the front around even with a detroit and tapping the gas. Hydro-assist will help you get them pointed right way, but the truck's still gonna want to go straight.

ARB would be great if they worked dependably. Some people seem to have no problems, and it's said to be dependable with a "good" install, but I have hear the mating call of the ARB users far to many times. Sounds something like, "Hey man, is my diff locked?" Often followed by the answering call of "I dunno man, I don't think so..." ;)

DETROITS front and rear for me! 1 for the cost, 2 for the strength and 3 I havent heard anyone say that they are unhappy with them like the ARB. just my thoughts.....Chaddy

I'm a spool man myself, and yes they do have certain characteristics, such as wanting to go straight all the time, but all you do is deal with it, just like everthing else in life! :D

i need one for my front 60 which is the best and easyest to install?

easiest to install... I'd say the Lockright.

best... well that's subjective... but i'd say Detroit for its durability

What about a spool in front with atlas2 tc. Going around corner throw the front in nuetral?

Performance Off Road Center is the best place to buy pretty much all of this stuff, imo. Give them a call, they have way more than what is on their website (if it goes on a 4x4, they probably carry it). Best prices, best customer support, way better than pretty much everyone else I have ever dealt with (I think my detroit for my front 60 was about $460).

Detroit is what I would choose. I personally run a lockright in my 10bolt front but that is because it came with the axle when I bought it. If I was spending the money on a D60 it would be the detroit. I wouldn't run a D60 lockright after I had a friend (Russ, Baddog) break one. I also wouldn't pay for an ARB so I can play the ARB shuffle on the trail. That is just annoying to watch let alone experience.
