Dana 60 madness,,,,, AXLES AQUIRED

Yeah, :haha:I WISH THERE WAS SOMEONE LOCAL AVAILABLE TOMMOROW, TO HELP GET THESE LOADED INTO MY TRUCK, AND UNLOADED INTO MY GARAGE,I COULD PAY FOR THEIR GAS/TIME, LOL!!!!!:D:D
So what is wrong with the truck?:dunno:

HEY! Can you guys tell me from the pics for sure if these are chevy axles FOR SURE? I made myself a checklist with info from the dana bible,,,,please tell me if this will suffice,,,,,, check 1> pads are 32 inches from center pin pad to center pin pad..... # 2 pads are 3 inches wide,,, #3 rotors are 1.5 inches thick #4 dana 60 stamp
#5 hub is 4 inches from top to bottom
#6 41 teeth on the ring, 9 on the pinion. =4.56
Will this suffice? I dont want to end up with a DODGE 60

Check the locking hubs, from the pics they look like the internal style lock outs which is what you want. If they are external lock outs I dont think you can upgrade to 35 spline outers.

Your good to go. Those are an internal hub, kingpin D60. The only thing I see missing is a steering arm from the drivers knuckle for stock GM steering, but no big deal you can get one easy if your not gonna do crossover.

Cool, I just dont want to become a victim of a -Texas Switch- ponzi scheme, type deal, dodge axles in place of chevy, ya know?:D

I thought you couldn't wait to drive your ****, now you wanna rip it appart again?
:dunno:

Yeah, im sick in the head, I strangly enjoy building things and then tearing it all apart again,,to install better stuff, just because.....haha, and plus, the half tons wont holdup to big block power, that will b added later...

This is the story of my life with my trail rig. Six months of down time and after one trail ride I come home with a whole list of stuff I want to change before I go again. Next thing I know the whole rig is torn apart in my front yard:doah:

:D The plan is to slowly fix up the 60,and in the meantime upgrade my insurance on the thing with the unlimited tow package, and just beat the half tons to death, break them, get towed out of there, then put in the 60 and 14 :D

Once you have the 60/14 ready it will only take one outing to destroy the 1/2 tons! Theres nothing like knowing you have some beef to replace the toothpicks with and whale on them!:woot:
